Flight Log: Villa Las Estrellas SCRM -- Punta Arenas SCCI SCRM 07.02.2018/08.02.2018
08 February 2018, Villa Las Estrellas — Punta Arenas:
In the afternoon, we took a taxi to the runway and boarded our plane. The two crew members were already there and the captain was very friendly. He wanted to get back to Punta Arenas too. We stowed away our luggage, waited for our Russian friends and then we were off. The weather was calm and the plane gathered speed and ascended to 28,000 feet or 9,000 m. It was a very uneventful flight all in all. However, Kurt was annoyed by the intoxicated Russians who didn’t stop talking in loud voices about photos and other experiences they’d had. This was in stark contrast to the outbound flight when they spent the whole time asleep.
I wasn’t as bothered and neither of the two pilots at the front seemed to be either because they had their headsets on. We landed in Punta Arenas after about two and a half hours.
In the meantime, the captain had gifted us two metal catering sets, which of course we’ll be looking after. What a friendly gesture! And that was the end of the day’s events so bye for now.
Bye Antarctica
