A major problem on this round-trip is crossing the Atlantic from Africa to South America during an approx. 13-hour flight.
As a result, the Cessna has again been equipped with an extra tank for 400 litres of aviation fuel. To do so permission
had to again be sought from EASA (the European Aviation Safety Agency) and the LBA (Federal Aviation Office).
An iPad with the most important manuals for the plane and equipment, for approach maps and other data has been prepared.
Flight plans, entry, overflight and landing permits, as well as visas had to be applied for. Handling agents will receive
the Hanover crew at each airfield. They know all about the special regulations in the airports in each destination.
